Your questions, clear guidance.

All questions ↗

What should I prepare before contacting a heating engineer?

Your municipality, appliance model, displayed message and the circumstances of the problem. Keep previous reports to hand. A photo of the rating plate may help, without removing the casing.

Does an error code identify the part to replace?

A code describes a condition detected by the appliance. Its meaning depends on the model and its manual. The installation still needs a diagnosis before a repair can be proposed.

Does one cold radiator mean the boiler needs replacing?

Not necessarily. The issue may concern the controls, water circulation or the radiator. Tell us whether one room or the whole home is affected and whether hot water still works.

How is a quotation prepared?

It takes account of your appliance, access, diagnosis, parts and proposed work. Ask for the VAT-inclusive total, exclusions and travel arrangements before agreeing to the work.
